Stop Missing Contracts You Could Win
Weekly scans of 23+ sources. Planned notice tracking. Awarded contract analysis. Know what's coming before your competitors do.
Most care providers find out too late
There are three ways providers typically discover tender opportunities. None of them are good enough.
They stumble across them. A framework they didn’t know existed, a contract already deep into evaluation, a deadline that passed last week. The opportunity was always there — they just didn’t know where to look.
They hear from commissioners. “We assumed you’d seen the tender” — after the submission window has closed. No notice. No pipeline. No preparation.
They find them with five days left. Not enough time to gather evidence. Not enough time to structure a competitive response. The submission goes in rushed. The scores reflect that.
The result: providers with excellent services miss contracts they could win — not because their care isn’t good enough, but because intelligence was an afterthought.
Continuous monitoring, not occasional searching
Tender Intelligence is the first phase of the bid-winning system because nothing else works without it. You can’t write a winning tender for an opportunity you missed. You can’t build evidence for a framework you didn’t know was coming.
Instead of reacting to opportunities when you happen to find them, you know about them weeks or months in advance. Planned notices published six months before the formal tender. Framework updates before they hit the open market. Awarded contracts that reveal what actually wins — and who you’re really competing against.
Checking 2–3 sources when time allows. Discovering deadlines under a week away. Bidding on everything that looks vaguely relevant. No view of what competitors are winning.
Weekly shortlist from 23+ sources. Planned notices tracked 6–12 months out. Structured bid/no-bid qualification on every opportunity. Clear view of who wins in your sector and why.
How it works
-
Setup and sector mapping. We map your service areas — domiciliary care, supported living, patient transport, children’s services — against 23+ tender sources. Find a Tender, Contracts Finder, NHS and ICB portals, council procurement pages, sector-specific frameworks, regional DPS registers. Every source that matters to your business, configured to your CPV codes, geography, and contract thresholds.
-
Weekly intelligence reports. Every Monday, you receive a curated shortlist: new opportunities matched to your profile, planned notices entering the pipeline, awarded contracts from the past week with winner and value details. Each opportunity includes a bid/no-bid assessment with specific reasoning — not alerts you have to interpret yourself.
-
Planned notice monitoring. Prior Information Notices give you 6–12 months of advance warning on major contracts. We track PINs systematically so you have time to prepare your evidence, engage commissioners early if appropriate, and make an informed decision about whether to pursue — not a last-minute scramble.
-
Awarded contract analysis. Who won recent contracts in your sector. What the contract values were. How long incumbents have held frameworks. This informs your strategy: where to focus, where competition is entrenched, and where gaps are opening up.
-
Monthly pipeline review. A 30-minute call to review your upcoming opportunities together. Which to pursue, which to decline, what evidence you’ll need, and when to start preparing. Linked directly to Phase 2: Evidence Library so preparation starts at the right time.
The point of intelligence isn’t to find more opportunities to bid on — it’s to find the right ones. Our detailed guide on the bid/no-bid decision framework covers the full criteria. Providers who qualify rigorously submit fewer bids and win more of them. One client reduced their bid volume by 40% and doubled their win rate in 12 months.
What’s included

Bid/No-Bid Framework Structured qualification scoring on each opportunity before it reaches your desk. Clear criteria: can you bid, can you win, can you deliver, is the return worth the effort. Stop spending time on unwinnable tenders.
Weekly Intelligence Reports Delivered every Monday. Priority-flagged for high-value contracts. Deadline reminders built in. The format is consistent so your weekly review takes 10–15 minutes, not four hours.
Monthly Pipeline Review Calls 30-minute strategy session to review upcoming opportunities, plan evidence requirements, and decide which bids to pursue. Connects intelligence to preparation so nothing falls through the gap.
Case study: Higher Heights Care Ltd
Higher Heights had been growing through spot purchasing for three years. Commissioners they wanted to work with were shifting to framework-based commissioning. The contracts with real volume were only available to providers on approved DPS lists.
They’d been aware of one regional DPS for over a year — but hadn’t applied because they didn’t know where to start or what gaps they had. Other providers had told them first-time rejections were common.
Through Tender Intelligence monitoring, we identified the DPS early in its cycle. We mapped all 31 framework requirements against their existing documentation and found four policy gaps that would have caused rejection. The gaps were addressed before the application went in.
Result: Accepted onto the DPS first attempt. Zero compliance issues. Now eligible for 12 call-off contract opportunities that were previously inaccessible.
“We’d been aware of the DPS for over a year and kept putting it off because we didn’t know where to start. The intelligence told us exactly when to apply and what we needed. We were accepted first time with no issues.”

How is this different from just checking Find a Tender myself?
Find a Tender covers UK-wide procurement above the threshold. We monitor 23+ sources including below-threshold opportunities on Contracts Finder, NHS and ICB portals, council procurement pages, sector-specific frameworks, and planned notice databases most providers never see. Most care providers check 2–3 sources irregularly. We check everything weekly, systematically, filtered to your profile.
What if I only bid 2–3 times a year?
Even at that frequency, missing one £400K contract costs more than a full year of intelligence. The service pays for itself by ensuring you never miss an opportunity worth pursuing — and by flagging the ones not worth pursuing before you spend resource on them.
How do you know which opportunities are right for me?
During setup, we map your service areas, geography, contract preferences, and capacity thresholds. The shortlist you receive each week reflects your actual capability and interest — not keyword matches. We also carry your bid history forward: win rates and feedback from previous tenders inform how we qualify future opportunities.
Can I see what won previously?
Yes. Awarded notice analysis is part of every weekly report. It shows who won recent contracts in your sector, what the values were, and patterns in successful bids. Over time, this builds a clear picture of your competitive landscape — who the incumbents are, where frameworks are open to new entrants, and what evidence levels commissioners expect.
Does this connect to the other phases of the system?
Directly. Intelligence feeds into Evidence Library (Phase 2) by flagging what evidence you’ll need before specific tenders go live. It feeds into Tender Writing (Phase 3) by giving the writing team advance notice and qualification data. Nothing in the bid-winning system works without a functioning pipeline at Phase 1.
